King of Glory Church is a non denominational church that exists to glorify God. The focus of the church is to build relationships, learn God’s Word, serve the world and share the good news of Jesus Christ. These focuses are accomplished through intentional teaching during worship on Sunday morning, community groups for people to belong and city love teams where people are engaged in serving. The simple facility is a reflection of the desire to keep the focus on mission and ministry rather than facilities. There is a large focus on partnering and supporting ministries that are doing God’s work locally and globally. Partnerships exist with mission groups in Mongolia, Liberia, Jamaica and Sioux Falls. The overarching desire is to see God glorified as people come together to learn, serve and share.
Rich Merkouris is the Pastor of King of Glory Church in Sioux Falls, SD. Rich helped start King of Glory in 2010 with the goal mobilizing a group of people to journey together for the glory of God. Alongside his duties as Pastor, Rich serves as the Chairperson for the Board of Directors of the Sioux Falls Ministry Center and Compassion Child Care. Rich also serves as the Director of Operations for the Kingdom Capital Fund in Sioux Falls. He is passionate for seeing people become generous stewards of God’s resources and giving fervently towards evangelism and mercy ministries.
Most importantly, Rich is the husband of Shannon and father of Hannah, Henry and Hazel. His family enjoy opening their home to guests from church or the community. Rich’s passion is to see people experience true community by opening their lives to one another which requires being in one another’s homes.
